Solving Connection Issues with Ravens WiFi
This guide will help you to solve connection issues with the Ravens WiFi network. If you’re having problems connecting to the Ravens network, then please follow the steps below.
Important note: Please make sure that any data you want to keep is saved to Google Drive before completing this process, especially any photos you may have taken with your device. This process will delete anything that is saved only on the device. Anything in your Google Drive will be unaffected, and you’ll see it when you log in again.
1. If you’re logged in to your chromebook, log out so that you’re at the login screen below.
2. Hold down the ‘ctrl’, ‘alt’, and ‘shift’ keys on your keyboard. While holding these down, press the ‘r’ key. This will trigger a process known as a Powerwash.
3. If your chromebook has not been restarted recently, it will ask you to restart to begin the process. Click on ‘Restart’. [If you have restarted recently, it may skip directly to step 4.]
4. Click on ‘Powerwash’ to begin the process.
5. Once the process is complete, you will be returned to the initial setup screen. Click on ‘Get started’.
6. At the next screen, you will be prompted to connect to a WiFi network. You must select ‘Ravens Guest’ at this screen. Connection to Ravens happens automatically later in the process.
7. To finish connecting to Ravens Guest, click on ‘Accept’ at the bottom of the next screen.
8. Once connected, the chromebook will complete a process called Enterprise enrollment.
9. When Enterprise enrollment is complete, the chromebook will display the screen below. Please do not click anything, and wait a moment for the automatic connection to the Ravens network.
10. After a brief pause, the chromebook will automatically switch itself over to the Ravens WiFi network.
11. The chromebook will then display the same screen as before. This time, click on ‘Done’.
12. Your chromebook is now connected to the Ravens WiFi network, and you will see the normal login screen. Login and use the chromebook as normal.
